I am planning to upgrade my pc. Mainly the CPU and the GPU.
My current build:
CPU: Intel pentium G4560
MOBO: Asrock-B250M-HDV
RAM: G.Skill Aegis 8gb 2400mhz
GPU: MSI geforce GTX1050 2GB Aero ITX
Storage: WDB 1TB
Case: CM Storm Enforcer
PSU: CM V550

The pc is mainly for gaming so I plan to get a gtx 1660, either GIGABYTE GTX1660 OC or MSI GTX1660 VENTUS XS OC.
The problem is the CPU, my budget is quite tight so I decided to keep the ram but change the CPU and mobo.
I have my eyes on i3 8100, i5 9400f, AMD R5 2600. I would overclock my ram for the R5 2600 if I was going to buy it.
In my country, r5 2600 has the same price as i5 9400f and i3 8100 is about $40 cheaper.

So which should I choose? I'm looking forward to your reply. Thanks.

I would say if you go with 6 cores make sure you get hyperthreading or go with more then 6 cores. At least that is if you don't want to run into having to upgrade your cpu for a good 4 to 5 years.
