Motherboard: A320M PRO-VH PLUS
CPU: Ryzen 3 2200g
OS: Win 10

I want to upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 7 3700x, but I am stuck at this stage of updating my BIOS version to make the new CPU compatible.

I've looked at guides on how to check which version you're on, but my BIOS version info makes it very confusing for me. I'll get straight to the point.

My BIOS version is displaying this:
3.GM - AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.3

My BIOS date is displaying this:
06/26/2019

I can't find my BIOS version or date anywhere, so I don't know which version to update from a starting point. I looked on my motherboard's list of BIOS downloads, and I cannot find the date and info of my version there.

On my motherboard's list of BIOS updates, it displays versions like this:
7B07v3I3(Beta version)
7B07v3E
7B07v3D

That is what's making me confused because my version is displaying something very different than that site - "https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/A320M-PRO-VH-PLUS/support"

Solution
The "7B07" is the model number of the board...the "v3I3" is the BIOS version number. You are on v3GM (7B07v3GM) which is an early version that's been deprecated (removed from download list).

I'd suggest updating to v3I3 (7B07v3I3) for a 3700X. It's been updated for best Win11 compatibility. It also has all the Zen 2 and Zen 3 performance fixes as well as the best memory compatibility. It will also work with your 2200G.

Ohhh I see now, thanks for explaining that. I shall go for that update. Thank you again!
