this laptop came with windows 7 installed.do you have win7 or winxp? you may need to contact acer for a replacement disk if its win7.if its xp there is not much sense reinstalling as support is done in april.
do you mean to say that you formatted your hdd and now it wont reboot.if this is correct it wont reboot because there is no longer an operating system there to boot to.you need to reinstall the os.if you have the install dvd you have to boot to the bios and choose dvd as the boot device.then insert your disk and install windows.if this is not your situation please clarify.

This is exactly right but thr recovery dics kit of 3 cd's, dick 1 is damaged so the rest wont work. Can i try any other windows XP software to try and restore? And how can else can i try and resolve this? THANKS IN ADVANCE OF THE INFO.
Hi thanks the responce, what happened after had virus i tried to reboot with the recovery disk, the systems recovery disk ran , then the 1st diskand 2nd , but near the end it popped up a error and now it wont restart at all.
