my system : ryzen 5 1600 oc 3.9ghz gainward 1060 3gb monitor 144hz XG2402
twins brother system : i5 8600k no oc gainward 1060 3gb monitor 240hz AW2518HF
younger brother : r5 2600x no oc rx 580 monitor 144hz XG2401

csgo settings 1280x960 4:3 everything on low

I always knew that valve favor intel and nvidia but lately it got me hard with the new update i got 210 avg fps which is kinda low because i used to have like 300 in 2017.The same thing for my younger bro pc with r5 2600x he got 230avg fps and many drops thats really low if u compare it with the 8600k he didnt get any drops with the years and had stable fps at 250+.
The biggest difference is on csgo on the other games we get pretty much the same fps .

So my question is i should go for a better gpu or look for an i5 9600k ?

Honestly any fps past your refresh rate of your monitor is just a waste of resources. Your refresh rate is 144hz. Your fps avg is 210. Plenty of fps. Don't get hung up on how high the fps can go. Fps at and a little above the refresh rate will keep you from getting stutters. More fps is not always better.

actually it dropped more i got 170avg fps on ffa at this point it isnt smooth if u play cs u can understand that by playing exactly .As n0thing tested that on 60hz with cap at 60fps and unlimited
