I have recently upgraded my PC and am looking to install a new GPU.

I am currently running;

Ryzen 3600
MSI Tomahawk
850w PSU
16 GB DDR4 @3200
GTX MSI 970 Twin Frozr

I only want to game at 1080P, I will be buying a new 1080P 144hrz monitor as well.

I am looking to spend under £400, I have looked at the RX5600 XT, RX 5700XT and the RTX 2060

I know the RX cards offer the best value for money but there seems to be massive reliability issues which really puts me off, is it worth waiting for new cards to drop to see if prices drop ?

Solution
I am waiting for new cards to come out since I predict they will release in September. However, if you can't wait any longer I would get the 5700xt because it would pair well with a 144hz monitor. You shouldn't have any problems with the 5700xt either.
