Hey, everyone.

My 24-pin connector doesn't seem like it's fully in the mobo. Is it supposed to snap into place to indicate that it's in properly? How much force does this thing need? I feel like I'm going to break something if I apply anymore force trying to get it in fully.

Thanks in advance!

It should click into place though you might not hear it but to get mine in I grabbed the top and bottom part of the plastic on the 24 pin with one hand and just pushed and slowly increased pressure to get it to click in. Alot of times it wont be fully in if youre too scared. Yes the motherboard can bend up to a certain point so it wont snap right away but just make sure you arent going freakin Hulk on it and theres like a 99% chance you...

Been applying force for the last 30 mins on this thing, it still hasn't snapped. I feel like it's as far in as it goes, it's just not snapping, I don't know why. Should I just stop pushing it in and leave it the way it is?

Ok, thanks. I'll try at it again in a bit, once i've put in some more cables. I've got another question though. My CPU cable has 8 pins on one end, and 4+4 pins on the other. Which one plugs into the mobo and which end plugs in to the PSU? Does it even matter? Thanks.

4+4 goes to the mobo other end to the PSU

You only neeed to apply force enough for the lock to lock in, pressing the tab while pushing it can help, if you cant take the conector out without pressing the lock release tab, then its already in place.

That's the problem, I can't get the lock to lock in, it's stuck right above the part where it should click into place. I tried taking the 24-pin connector out and this thing is not coming out anymore than it's going in lol. But still, the lock isn't locked in....

Try holding the lock up with your thumb, putting the thing in as best you can, letting go of the lock and still putting pressure in. Maybe itll be easier when you hold the lock up so it isnt interfering. Make sure youre putting it in the right way too lol

ya I'm putting it in the right way, this is the only connector giving me issues, I think it might have to do with the really stiff cables of the evga supernova g2 750w PSU. They're so dam stiff it's probably preventing the connector from staying in firmly. I have no clue, but all i know is the dam lock won't clip under the little ledge.

I finally managed to force the little lock thing under the ledge that keeps it secure and in place. That took forever, but thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it!
