I am (re)installing my AMD graphics drivers(version 08.00.0916, AMD Radeon R9 270X) to try fixing another problem. I got stuck at "Detecting graphics hardware..."
Here are the solutions I used that didn't work:
- Going into Device Manager, right clicking on my graphics card under Display adapters, right-clicking to uninstall the device, and then scanning for hardware changes, all when the installer was running.
- Going into Device Manager, right clicking on my graphics card under Display adapters, right-clicking to Update Driver Software, leading the Device Manager install into the place where the drivers were extracted, and installing the drivers in the folder, and its subfolders.
- Rebooting the computer
- Installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package x86 and x64.
I really need a fix.
