Hello nice people!
So I upgraded from win7 64-bit home to win10 a few days ago... And after the update for windows I did yesterday before going to sleep... well... Today my pc is stuck in the Loading Operating System Screen... :'(
I tried unplugging and repugging the HDD, but that didn't help. Unplugged it shows "Disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter".

My Pc is from 2011 with 1TB HDD, Gigabyte GTX570 soc, Intel i5-2500k. Mainboard is some Gigabyte, can't remember the number. RAM are 4 sticks Ripjaws x together 16 Gigabyte 1333Mhz I think.

Can anybody help me with that, please?

Solution
On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and make a Win 10 installer on USB or DVD (your choice)

change boot order so USB/DVD is first, hdd second
boot installer
on 2nd screen, after languages, choose repair this pc, not install
choose troubleshoot
choose advanced
choose start up repair - this will scan PC and might fix this problem - will ask for logon info

See how that goes :)

Thank you, I'll try that later, report back then^^

Hi there XAlt95Ray,

As Colif suggested, you can run startup repair. If this doesn't solve the issue, I believe you will need to perform a clean OS install.
Before that, you can recover your data in a couple of ways:
- Use some data recovery tool for DOS mode.
- Attach the drive as a secondary one to a working machine.

Once your system is running just fine, it may be a good idea to test the drive with a brand specific tool.

Cheers,
D_Know_WD :)

Apologies for taking so long, I had a lot to do the last couple days. :/

I tried the repair tool, but apparently it can't repair it completely. Now I am stuck in an endless cycle of bluescreen restarts with INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE and automatic repair, because it didn't start correctly.

I could use the install DVD to go back to Windows 7, do you guys think that could help me?

No need to apologise, we helping you :)

i would copy all the stuff off PC you want to save and use the win 10 USB I asked you to make to clean install win 10 onto hdd, no point returning to win 7 when one fix of this is a clean install, why not try win 10 instead? the boot error might be cause you did upgrade from win 7, it might not happen again once hdd set up to boot win 10

follow this guide, will answer any questions you have: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

After all the attempted repair from the installation dvd did enough:
Okay, I just tried different startup options in the automatic repair and was suddenly able to boot in safe mode. I updated two or three drivers not up to date and all around cleaned it a bit and it does boot normally now^^ Thank you guys a lot for your help! 👍
I'm gonna back up all my data now and then do a clean fresh install soon :)
