Specs:
Mobo
gigabyte ga-ma69g-s3h
Ram
4x 1gb ddr2 ram ( Currently I only put 3 because the last ram I think is broken more info below )
Graphics card
NGTS250-1GTU-F-89-206-461354
This was on the sticker.

What happened:
Blue screen appeared while playing a game called FTL: Faster Than Light.
PC restarted then shutdown again.
When I tried to turn it on, theres no signal in the monitor.
I thought the pc was broken so it didnt touch it for 4-5 months.

I decided to fix it a couple of days ago, removed the graphics card and 3x of ram, it turned on but it was stuck at windows logo ( I can access mobo bios and windows bios if that helps )

With a couple of tries and smart puzzle-solving skills I concluded that one of the ram was defective by exchanging the ram slots and removing ram.
So I put the 3x of ram that are working.

Problem:
My problem is it gets stuck at Windows logo. I tried booting to safe mode but it gets stuck to one of the files. ( I only waited for 10 mins before I concluded it was stuck ) I'm starting to think that my hard drive got corrupted.
Also I am not a tech geek/guy so there might be mistakes like wrong terminologies.

So I tried to boot my computer using my laptop's hdd, I was pretty sure it should work but it didn't it booted up until the windows boot but when the windows logo appeared it restarted. I kept trying to boot it but it just keeps restarting. Does this mean I have a hardware problem?

It's doubtful OS installed on another system would have drivers needed for another one, specially Laptop to desktop. If you suspect some other HW problem, it's easiest to try to BOOT from a Linux Live distro which works on most anything. Download https://www.pendrivelinux.com/linux-live-usb-creator/ it has an option to download and install many Linux distros, make it as live version on a ZSB or CD/DVD and boot from it and run it even without a HDD present.
I'd suggest Pupy or Deepin

After I boot the Linux, what should I do because I'm really clueless right now. I'm thinking about finding and solving the hardware problem but I don't know how to check which pc part is defective. Is there like a hardware checker for Linux.
Also what if the Linux doesn't boot up, does it mean my mobo, cpu, and/or ram sticks needs to be replaced?
