Hey guys, need a bit of help here. Been deciding on a new RTX 2070 to upgrade from my 1060. Currently waiting until the new Ryzens come out to build my new PC so I thought why not upgrade the GPU now so it's not as much leverage later.

Currently rock a:
i5-2500k Stock (with a EVO 212+ CM Cooler)
^EVGA Z68 FTW KR Mobo
8GB DDR3 Samsung Ram
GTX 1060 3GB
550W Seasonic Modular PSU 80+ Gold
250GB SSD + 1 TB Harddrive (WD Black)
ASUS PG279QZ ROG Swift Monitor

Currently stuck deciding between these two guys. I was deciding on getting a RTX 2060 but rather shout out the extra $110-140 for the extra juice just in case.

Thanks for reading me out

Just go for the ASUS ROG STRIX model....It has slightly better cooling, and the build quality of Strix cards is also excellent. But your current i5-2500k CPU might hold this GPU back in some games, creating a bottleneck as well.

Though you can upgrade once ZEN 2 7nm CPUs hit the market.
