I just upgraded to the 2080Ti from my 970 and im looking for a monitor to get. I am stuck betweenthe ASUS PG279Q and the new Gigabyte AD27QD. They are both 1440p monitors with 144hz (ASUS overclocks to 165 but idc about that too much). The ASUS uses AHVA IPS while the Gigabyte uses normal IPS. The ASUS has a slightly faster response time (due to input lag plus response time it is slightly faster when compared to the Gugabyte). Also I know that the ASUS has Gsync while the Gigabyte has Freesync. I believe that with the most recent driver update it allows NVIDIA cards to work with Freesync. Any suggestions on what to pick?

I own the PG279Q which I had to RMA twice to get a decent one without a ton of backlight bleed, quality control is not very consistent with that monitor from my experience. If you get a good one it's an excellent monitor. Though if you look at reviews for that gigabyte monitor it seems it has backlight bleed issues as well. Have you looked at the Acer Predator XB271HU?
