Stuck in AOD

Hello. I am utterly stuck in the "Hall of seasons". I gathered all the gems
and placed them in the wall hangings according to season, but now I can't
get out of the hall. I looked around and tried grabbing, jumping at things
and nothing works. Can someone help me out here ?!?

Now that you have put the gems into their proper places it's time to drop
down to the area below the hall. Go to any of the switches that once pulled
drop Lara through the floor. Now it's up to you to find a door taking Lara
to a room with a large machine. Take care finding the door, there are many
perils along the way. Once through the door it will be Lara's task to start
the big machine. Good luck!

It's been quite a while but I seem to recall that a door opens down in
the basement ring area that allows you to continue.
