So I've started to get a weird issue with my computer where when I switch it on it says BIOS is updating. The computer then restarts and the same message is displayed. I've let it like that for like 3hours and it just loops on.
The previous day the computer was running fine and out of nowhere this started. I don't like to mess around with BIOS too much. Last time I updated it was like 3mo ths ago and there was no issue so far.
My set up:
Asus rog strix x370 -f gaming
Ryzen 7 1700
MSI gtx 1050 ti
Corsair vengeance RGB (2x8Gb)
I've tried like everything to troubleshoot but no luck.
Troubleshooting done:
Remove all USB devices (even keyboard)
Remove ssd harddisk
Removed 1RAM stick and placing in different slots.
Removed cmos battery
Clear bios using jumper
I also cannot enter my bios menu. Spamming F2 or delete key, hold press the keys still no luck. So I can't really check what BIOS version I have.
On the mobo I am getting a yellow light on DRAM and a green light on BOOT.
Last thing I can do is download the latest BIOS from asus, rename it and put it in a USB, but since I cant enter the BIOS menu, I dunno how I will be able to update the BIOS.
My hope is low and thinking maybe the mobo is bricked.
I was am also considering changing the BIOS chip but with everything installed I cant seem to find the BIOS chip. Please help me to locate that.
That'd be a shame considering I didnt do anything to cause that.
Also no overclocking was ever done.
Needs help.
