hi i have a GA-Z68AP-D3 that i can not get to boot.

All it does is goes to the Bios screen then restarts.

I brought a Motherboard Diagnostic Card Test Analyzer and it gives an error FF 01.
Which I gather from the manual is a cpu fault BUT the cpu is fine as im using it on another mobo, ive also tried 2 other cpus and have checked to make sure no pins are damaged.

Once the bios screen comes up it wont even let me press a key it just hangs for a bit then restarts.

Does anyone have any other ideas I could try please

1| When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

2| Have you made sure you're using a ram kit that is rated to run a maximum of 1.65v or a minimum of 1.5v? For the Z68 platform you would need to use 1.65v kits to be able to boot or at least a kit or single stick of DDR3-1333MHz at 1.5v

3| Are you mixing and matching ram sticks while you're attempting to power up the Z68 system?

4| You're sure that there isn't any grounding issue?

5| Have you tried removing the CMOS battery for 15 minutes before replacing it? I'm assuming you've got the system breadboarded.

Sorry im using a pentuim G20, G630 and have also tried i5 2500k, no hdds are connected yet and i was using onboard, Ive also tried a GTX 670 but had the same result. The ram is just generic 1333mhz 2 gb stick. psu is a 720w enermax. all the other parts work flawlessly with a h61 motherboard.
Motherboard is just setup on a wooden test block atm so no grounding issues and i have removed the cmos battery overnight and even swapped it.

I hope that helps
