Stuck in Our Benefactors

I am stuck in Our Benefactors. I am at a place in the level where there is
a long corridor with pods lining the walls. At one end of the corridor is a
wall I jumped down from. At the other end is a force filed. Just before the
force field are two vertical streaming beams with energy ball running up.
How do I bring down the force field? I have tried shooting energy balls at
the Column behind the force field. It just grads two ball when I shot them
and won't take any more. HELP!

Use the Gravity Gun to grab the energy balls in the two columns, then fire them
either at your enemies or anaywhere you like, after grabbing 3 from each column
the force field will collapse.
