Hey guys, thanks for looking at this today. I have a problem with my computer to where its on a constant BIos loop. Let me explain, I turn it on, bios. I reset it, bios. I cmos it.. bios. I put the default options.. bios again. see where I'm going? It may be a corrupt bios menu? But It worked like, last week.
One thing that did happen was.. maybe before it started happening.. I went to do something in the case and a little shock from my finger hit the computer. that may be the answer? I don't know.. I'm really out of options. If you guys could help that would be phenomenal

Solution

thats a better idea then to tweak by your self but i guarantee that you just need to pull battery out and in again i...

I don't think I have? I don't remember doing that. I cant update it from my computer since its looping, I have a laptop, can I get the update on a usb and maybe "try" to update it from there?

you can update from USB just formate it perform virus search go to ASUS Site download update: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_FORMULA/HelpDesk/

choose your WINDOWS update to the latest BIOS you will find everything there if you are a first timer here is a video to help you how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOsuSlStXOk

Thank you so much. I will tell you if it works or not!

I found out my bios version, Its 0714, from last year. Yikes, now it says I have to get a cap to rom converter or something. But I don't literally see any CAP. or ROM Files.

UPDATE: I found an older version to update to. It had a cap file so Its now 0804, I will slowly update one version at a time to be safe.
BUT, what do I do aftwards its all updated? Like, reset or something? Cause I don't believe when its up to the right version to support my card or something it will magically stop looping the bios. I hope it does haha.

well you dont update like that i sent you the tutorial folow it and just do a newest version you cant mess anything up if you skip update i skiped my older updates couse i bought this PC 2 mounths ago just download the newest and folow the tutorial i sent you

when you download CAP file put it on USB Drive (you will need to check with anti-virus and format it) put it in the PC that has ASUS ROG MOBO then get in bios find ASUS Flash utility or how it is named i dont know and flash from there you dont need any programs or anything just BIOS

I'm sorry, I realized I could have done that.Thank you for helping me this long.

not a problem just folow the tutorial i sent to you and everything will be fine if that does not work remove battery return it back again and try again

Well, it updated. But the bios is still looping. I don't really know where my battery for my mobo is..

It might actually be the Hard Drive. Cause That thing has been in there since.. forever. I only have a hdd, and its an old one. And I did set it to load on the hard drive, but it loops again.

do you have any other HDD to check?

Erm.. no. But I am calling my local computer company to come take a look at it. I'm sure they will have a hdd to test it out

thats a better idea then to tweak by your self but i guarantee that you just need to pull battery out and in again i had the same problem on old PC it did not wanted to boot up just did everything was back to default settings and it booted up normally
