Stuck in "Shade"

Hi,

I'm playing Plotkin's "Shade", and I'm sort of stuck. Basically, I'm
surrounded by alot of sand, from the taps, from the peanut butter,
from the crackers, from the jacket, from the vacuum cleaner, you get
the picture. Can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to do now, or gently
steer me in the right direction?

Check the todo list. No one can have enough sand. Something will happen.

Long time since I played, though.
