Hello, today I tried to turn on my PC, after shutting it down the night before, like I usually do.. but it got stuck at the spinning wheel on the bios screen! I attempted to power it off, and on, nothing changed but now I could enter the bios! I still can’t get to windows, and if I reboot my pc or exit the bios on the splash screen, it says attempting automatic repair! I’ve never encountered an issue like this before, and I’m not sure what to do! Any advice would be great, thanks!!!

I use an msi x570 board

1) Turn the PC back off.
2) Unplug everything including power cord.
3) Press and hold power button for 5-10 seconds to drain any residual flea power.
4) Plug just monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power cord back in.
5) Attempt to power it back on and see what happens.
5.1) If still doesn't proceed, let the Automatic Repair attempt to resolve the issue.
6) If it fully boots up, turn it back off and start adding devices back one at a time. Make sure to keep any printers, drives, etc. unplugged after doing the first boot attempt.

Hello, I’ve tried everything on this list, and if I try and let the automatic repair proceed it just freezes and loops… I’m not totally sure what to do, I’m trying to reinstall windows but, it just goes black when the ISO installation would normally pop up… do you have any more suggestions? I’m not sure if I’m doing anything wrong…

That screen looks like its trying to load the USB drive but can't. Try re-creating the USB drive and try again.
Yeah I wondered that… I created it twice, and it did the same thing, but do you think it could possibly be a faulty USB stick? Never mind, I’ve used a new usb, with windows 11 instead of 10 in a new port, And still the same type of issue, either a windows logo and a never ending spinning wheel or a windows logo followed by a black screen… I’m stumped!

It could possibly be a bad ISO file that you're using too. It's odd that 10 loaded just fine but 11 is giving you headaches.

You might possibly be dealing with a drive related issue also but its hard to say. Did you experience any power outtages or surges lately?
Ah, I’ll try unplugging all but my m.2, because that drive doesn’t have windows. Possibly? I cleaned, without water, the day it started. Do you think bumping my power-strip could’ve caused this?

You’re absolutely right!!! Thank you, I unplugged 2/3 ssd+ancient HDD and the windows install screen booted right away! I don’t have enough storage for windows 11 install, so now imma buy a new ssd!! Thanks so much for your help! I’m not sure how to give you a solution, as I’m doing this on my phone since my computer is not working haha!!

Not sure how to do it myself on mobile. Maybe a mod can assist.
