Stuck loading W7, boot not working

Hello!
My laptop (ASUS PRO50Zseries)restarted a few days ago. When i tried turning it on, it would remain stuck at loading windows. Safe mode, does not work, gets stuck also. Thought i just need to reinstal W7. Tried with DVD and usb boot, the message "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" kept showing. Used a few hardware diagnostic tools, all test came out ok. No hdd failure, nothing unussual. In BIOS i can change boot priorities, i can identify an usb plugged in, all looks ok.

Do you have any sugestions? thank you

Did you actually try changing the boot sequence in the BIOS in order for the installation to proceed?

I tried changing the boot sequence, tried leaving just the USB in the priority, tried changing boot sequence to 1.hdd (and chose first the usb then the real hdd; my bios sees the usb boot stick as a actual harddrive) and 2. removable. I think i have tried every combination posible.
