So i just built my new pc, i7 4790k, R9 390, MSI Z97 Gaming Mobo, Kingston V3000 120gb SSD, and WD 1 tb HDD. I was installing windows 7 and then when it finished, it rebooted my computer, ever since i have been stuck on "Starting Windows" every single time I retart my pc. Plus everytime I try to go to safe mode, it doesn't even boot! It stops a checking file disk.sys and does not boot. I'm helpless.. please help. I've tried every windows option.

Hello 7Sav,
If the problem occurs even though you haven't started windows yet, then it could be of a faulty installation, my guesses would be that you might be installing from a 3.0 USB drive, or if your Windows copy is downloaded from "other means", it may be corrupted (if original then it could also be a scratch on the CD). Also since you have a SSD, i assume your installing it on said SSD. If so then try installing it on on your HDD and if it works, we can rule out a faulty windows installation and it could be something with the SSD. The three things i would suggest trying are these:

    1. Try installing with a USB 2.0 (if CD, check CD for scratches)
    2. Try another windows install
    3. Try installing on HDD (if that is where you were...

Reconnect ur hdd or ssd in which you have the windows and rams.
If u have still the same issue install a fresh copy of windows.
I was facing the same issue but now it is working perfectly.

If the problem persists after trying the above, come back and we'll see if we can help you.
Best of luck. :cheese:
