Hello-
I have a HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 15-er0xxx running Windows 11. I currently use two external monitors plus the laptop screen as my 3rd monitor. I decided to upgrade to a larger monitor instead of using the laptop screen and cannot get it to work. My computer is recognizing 4 total screens but the screen that I want to work is black. I was using a mini docking station with 2 monitors hooked by HDMI which was working fine. I got a USB to HDMI adapter to plug into my docking station for the 3rd monitor and that didn't work. I then bought a docking station with 3 HDMI ports and that is not working either. Any thoughts? Is my computer not capable of having that many screens? I am even willing to give up the laptop screen just so my bigger screen works and can't figure that out either.
Thank you in advance.

Did you use a TypeC connection docking station and then connect the monitor?
I checked your laptop model and it appears to have an HDMI port, have you tried using HDMI to connect a third monitor.

The TypecC port on your laptop is marked as 10Gbps on the HP official website, so if your external monitor's resolution and frame rate are too high it may not display properly.

Yes, I used a Type C connection docking station. I just hooked the HDMI directly from the 3rd monitor to the laptop and still have a black screen.

This is the monitor I am using for all 3. Samsung CF396 Series Curved 27-Inch FHD Monitor (C27F396)

If this is the case, the problem may not be solved, mainly because the laptop only Intel integrated graphics, although theoretical support for up to three monitors, but the vast majority of laptops currently TypeC adapter output DispalyPort signal from the same HDMI port signal. That is to say, the use of TypeC adapter output and HDMI port on the laptop is actually the same channel, can only choose one of two.

So I couldn't use the third monitor instead of using the laptop as a monitor? It looks like then I am not going to be able to use it at all and I will only be able to use the 2 monitors plus my laptop screen. Am I understanding correctly?
