I'm building a pc with a B450 gaming max and a be quiet pure base 500dx.

I checked it all posted and have now installed the motherboard, connected up the front usb3, audio, reset and power LEDs.

I've got to a point where I can't see where a cable can go, it has 3 pins but has a solid gap in the middle:

Any ideas what this is?

Found this this video, but he passes by the part I'm at quite quickly around 8.08 (and although it's the same motherboard, he's not using the 500dx)

He also breezes over connecting drive activity LEDs and a reset button... But as far as I can tell this case doesn't support either (no reset button and the only other cables I see at this point from the case are sata)

I'm wondering if this related to the argb on the case, but I can't see a connector anywhere on the motherboard with this 2/gap/1 layout. There are 2 rgb connectors that have 4 pins. What is this cable? Might I just have nowhere for it to go? Sorry, this is my first build.

It's for argb but your mobo doesn't have the right header so you leave it unplugged unless you want to get an argb controller.

Thanks for replying. Does this mean the built in case rgb won't work via the case lighting button, or is it only for syncing with other rgb? (something I won't be doing)

If it still requires an argb controller, would this work and just connect to a regular rgb header?

You control it from the case. The plug is for mobo control and syncing.

Oh, great!! So I'll still get some pretty lights. It wouldn't have been the end of the world if I'd had to get a controller (or even had no lights) but that's nice to hear. I still have a few last connections to make but it's bedtime here. Thank you for your help!
