As the title states, I am studying to get my A+ certification and found myself getting a bit confused when it comes to the busses and wanted to just make sure I was correct in my line of thinking with this analogy:

Imagine you are the CPU and you are wanting UPS to have a package delivered to your door, or picked up for delivery elsewhere. The address bus is the phone book that you pick up and find the phone number and physical address so you know who to call. The Data Bus (I'm assuming this is the same as the External Data Bus but then again, I might be wrong) is the UPS guy who shows up at your door to deliver the package or again take it and deliver it elsewhere.

So yeah, does that analogy work?

Solution
The most common analogy for a data bus is a highway. There are different size highways and there are different speed highways. Wider highways (more lanes) can transport more people simultaneously. A higher speed highway can transport 1 person faster. Obviously you can have wide AND fast highways.
