Hi all,

I have bought the above motherboard and have a problem...

With everything plugged in all the lights come on and the fans start but the
board does not post.

If I remove a component, e.g. the memory stick or the video card, and turn
it on it will give me the correct error code beeps.

What on earth is going on? I have tried 512mb Crucial 2100 ram and 512mb
Kingston 3200 ram, I have tried a 266fsb Athlonxp 2200+ and a 333fsb
AthlonXP 2600+ and have not resolved this problem. The video card I an
using is a Asus v8440 (Geforce 440ti).

Is the board a dud? The shop I bought it from want £10 to take it back and
get it tested

Thanks

Conrad

Clear the cmos (using the procedure from the manual) and try again ?

Hi, Thanks for the advice so far,

Yes, I have cleared the cmos. My PSU is rated at 400W. I am using a
minimum config of video card , one hard drive and cpu in a effort to get it
working. I have had the cpus working on another motherboard so they are
okay.

Cheers

Conrad

Probably £10 well spent unless time means nothing to you. Then don't
deal from them and tell all your friends...
