I realized a few hours ago I was connected to someone else's router since the gateway said Wireless-G (them) instead of Wireless-B (mine). I've done everything from restoring my router back to factory defaults, doing the reset button on it, and disabling my wireless USB adapter. It just won't show my Wireless-B network anywhere on Available Networks! How do I get back!

Go to your wireless accesspoint/router's config and look for "broadcast SSID". Make sure that is on.

Hmm...so you can connect to the internet via your neigbors connection...and you have your own.

Does "bridging" connection mean you'd ber connected to the internet twice - i.e faster internet connection? .

Who's the man with the master plan?

My wireless NIC adapter has a value (under device manager> properties> resources [I think]) for 802.11b only. Not all adapters are sure to have this but take a look and see. I suppose its worth a shot.
Also you should be able to restrict which SSIDs you connect to . XP has a setting that disables connections to any available SSID. You should be able to connect soley to your WiFi using that technique.

Also, you must be living in an appartment or condo or in a zero lot line community for this to be happening. You may have to get your neighbors help to do some testing on this.
