Stupid DDR3 and DDR4 question

I got a gaming pc for Christmas but it doesn't have good parts. So for my birthday I'm getting better parts. Does the gigabyte z370 work with ddr3 memory or is it only ddr4 I know computers but not motherboards please help.

No it only supports DDR4 ram

Depending on what the mobo is, the site / manual will tell you what ram it supports

DDR4 only. Also to be clear the Z370 motherboards series ONLY works with the new Coffee Lake CPUs (the 8000 series).
