hi, this is probably a stupid question...but i dont know if ive got an 1900xt or maybe an xtx. I ordered a XT but ive heard a lot of the time the 2 types are mixed up.

When i ran PCmark05 it said i had an XTX but i cant find out for sure. Everywhere i look just says '1900 series', is there any way of finding out for sure? thx

From the image you posted of your control center, I would say you indeed have an XT. The biggest differance between the two is the XT's 1.45ghz memory speed and the XTX's 1.55ghz memory. Given the 720mhz base clock, that would give you an actual speed of 1.44ghz.

The core clock speed between the two cards is 25mhz and 100mhz memory differance. IMOP there's not enough to justify the $100 price differance, maybe if you plan of overclocking, the XTX has 1.1ns memory which will go futher than the 1.2ns mem in the XT.

Either way you have a great card. :!:

You need to unlock the clocks in the ATI Overdrive section.
Then you can slide the clocks all the way up to 690/800 and apply. In about 5 seconds the Preserve Settings will activate, check it and apply again.
Then you will have OC speeds only when game needs the boost due to not keeping up with gameplay.
