Stupidly slow usb 3.0 speeds

Ok so just got a new 32gb kingston usb and i'm getting transfer speeds of at most 5MB/s All usb drivers are up to date and its reading from an ssd so thats not the bottleneck. Any ideas why its so slow?

Tried with both music and photos and both the same

Looking at the comments on that drive it seems like your probably within range of what it should be running. Sequential speed tests show around 10MB/s, and photos and music are not exactly super huge contiguous files.
