Stutter at Rome 2 total war

As the title says, i got issues with frp dropping in large battles zoomed in when the units crush against each other or if u like for the sake of clarity, engage. Specifically its not exactly fps dropping cause zoomed out the game runs silky smooth but when i zoom in at the time when units clash i notice heavy animation stuttering, as if the game is running on 1 fps. Tried everything, searched everywhere i couldnt find an answer.

My specs are gtx 760 2gb msi oc edition, intel i5 4690 and MSI ATX DDR3 1333 LGA 1150 mobo

Total War CRUSHES CPU performance; even my OCd 2600k can't handle high settings on Rome II. My advice: Turn down as many settings as you can.

My rig is a 2600k and a 770 GTX, and I can barely handle medium-high settings. So that's the target you should be aiming for.
