So today I picked up the new COD game on my PC. I was about to play but noticed Windows had an update to install so I let it do its thing. After about 30 min or so I came back and tried hopping on COD and noticed a stutter ingame. Every 1-2 seconds there is about a half second stutter rendering the game unplayable. I also noticed some horrible screen tearing and texture glitches while in game. I never had any issues like this before the update and if anyone knows of anything that can fix this I'd greatly appreciate it. I've already tried updating Geforce Experience drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling my GTX 1080 driver in device manager. Also, it flickers a lot while I'm in task manager and I've read online that when that happens it is a display adapter issue but I've already tried the fix (uninstalling and reinstalling GTX driver) and still nothing. Here is some info on my build-

GTX 1080
16 GB RAM
i7-7700k

I also have dual monitors

Solution
DOOM also crashes and wont even launch. Brings up a window saying "DOOM Unhandled Exception" when I clck on "view report" it brings up a long message saying-

i would:

#1 Use DDU then reinstall the GPU drivers
#2 Use a synthetic benchmark (that way you can somehow eliminate between hardware/software issue) if it completes
#3 use afterburner to check volt/temps/clockspeed, spikes from here to there would denote a hardware issue.
#4 a little time consuming but you can also do some RAM tests (memtest86)

Solution

Did the DDU then reinstall and that seemed to fix it! Seems like an NVIDIA driver might have got corrupted or something, weird. Thanks a ton!
