Gpu- zotac 1070ti mini
cpu- ryzen 5 2600 (no oc )
mobo- asrock A320M-HDV R3.0
ram- 2 8gb 2400 gskill ripjaws V

I notice in games like black ops 4 and battlefield 5 my frame rates are at 120 fps but go down even if nothing big is happening on screen. Does it have anything to do with my cpu ?

Well your RAM isn’t great but what are the drops like?
Well black ops 4 it goes from 119fps to 70 fps and thats just in the main menu. In Battlefield 5 from 98fps to 60. Also you're saying that my ram isnt great, do you think I need those 3200 ram sticks ? Thanks for the reply also.

Look up Battlefield 5 micro-stutter. Sometimes games just have poor timing logic where they do too many calculations on the same frame. If it only affects a couple games, I would question the game before the hardware.

Hi thanks for replying I see what you're saying bust mostly all games i play past 100 fps do this (black ops 3, GTA 5, Insurgency Sandstorm ).It may not be entirely the games fault. If its not the game do you think it could be something else ?

You’ll never get a solid frame rate in big games, whenever a weird bit of logic comes up you’ll get a dip.

And with ryzen you really should be running 3000+
