Stuttering and freeze

So i brought a new msi gtx 750 ti twin frozr 2 gdr5 . I tested it on rise of tomb raider. It is factory oc and it is giving good fps around 30_40 fps at high settings. The only trouble is it starts freezing for 'half a second' after 10 minutes of gameplay.gpu Temp. is normal.
I also replaced it with zotac gtx 750 ti 2gdr5 but the same again happened. It starts freeze for a bit after 10 minutes. At high settings, vram reaches 2032 mb. What is the reason for this ? Is am short of vram ( i heard that the game needs 3 gb v ram to run at high settings) ? Or something else is bothering the issue ?

I3 2100 cpu
Msi gtx 750 ti twin frozr gpu
6 gb ram ddr3
Stock smps (250 watts)
500 gb hdd

Odd amount of RAM. Does it run in Dual Channel?

Ever thought of trying another PSU? I've known the case where 750ti runs fine on a 300watts ones, but 250 is just pushing it I think.

I have one 4 gb stick and one 2 gb stick of ram. Total 6 gbs. Is this the issue ?

While it might, more than anything else refer to my second question.

You PSU might not adequately power it. 250watt for good brand stuff like Seasonic or Antec proved capable. But if its by some shady brand and 'made in china' are somewhere along the line, I suggest you replace it.

Sc Blacklist running on ultra at 900 p. 50_60fps
Metal gear phantom pain on high at 900 p 50 fps

Bf3 on ultra at 60 fps.

Only sttutering in rise of tomb raider at high settings.

You might want to dial things down. I too owned Zotac 750Ti, but I haven't installed the new Tomb Raider yet. Still doing Witcher 3 and occasional Fallout 4.
