Question stuttering in game, CPU usage higher than GPU

When i play CSGO my fps changes from 170-220 fps but i get small stutters sometimes. i have set my setting for performance, but in RUST i get higher GPU usage and no stutters with smooth fps. Any Ideas on how to fix?

i5-3470
CPU Usage (CSGO) 60-80% sometimes 90%
nvidia gtx 1050ti
GPU Usage (CSGO) around 40%

Most likely your monitor. If FPS is too high it can be a problem if your monitor can’t keep up.

At such a high framerate the CPU has a lot of something called draw calls (look it up if you want) to calculate, this is likely why your CPU usage is higher than GPU usage. What is individual CPU core usage? If any cores are hitting 100% in game this can cause stutters. If that is the case you can likely resolve the stutter by just turning up the graphics settings thus putting more load on the GPU, decreasing framerate, and taking load off of the CPU.

They all mostly stick around 85% usage but some of them will reach around 95-100% at times and cause stutters. even at high graphic settings i still get high cpu usage and stutters will occur.
