Hello,
recently upgraded my desktop computer, including CPU, GPU, RAM and the motherboard. More demanding games, from GTA IV to Farcry 3, and even less demanding ones like TDU2, begin stuttering about 5-10 mins into playing (even tried setting everything to low in TDU2, no change!). The stuttering itself isnt "brutal", like freezing the game or anything, but it's like a constant rhythmic "pulse", if you get what I mean. It's very noticeable and annoying, even though the framerate is good.
These are my specs, taken from AIDA64
QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955, 3200 MHz (16 x 200)
Biostar A960A3+ (A9) (3 PCI, 2 PCI-E x1, 1 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR3 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)
4096 MB (DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM)
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 (1024 MB)
WDC WD15EARS-00MVWB0 ATA Device (1500 GB, SATA-II)
Asus VW225 [22" LCD] (97LMQS029786)
And these are the PSU specs, taken from the label on the side of the thing
HKC HZ-430 PDR
DC +3.3 +5 +12 -5 -12 +5VSB
Max 30A 34A 15A 0.5A 0.5A 2.0A
Min 0.3A 0.3A 1.0A 0A 0A 0A
+12V Max load 15A
Max load 430W
Mind you, the guy that built this upgrade for me builds computers for a living, and he said that the PSU should suffice. But I don't know what else to check, drivers are updated, disk defragged. Any opinions would be really appreciated! Thanks.
Edit: forgot to add some of the PSU specs
