Question STUTTERING LIKE CRAZY

So, my Seagate Barracuda 250 HDD has been used consistently for around 2 years, and in the month when I upgraded to my H310M GAMING arctic mobo and a 1060 along with and i3 8100, games like Fortnite (which has the biggest problem, I was in the middle of a WC semi-final match 22 points 5/10 games, and my PC crashed. Alongside that, every time I start a match and during the game, my game stutters and freezing so unbelievably hard you guys don't believe it. Thinking of upgrading to a Samsung 860 EVO SSD or cheaper. Any ideas to why? Just started doing this around 1-2 months after I upgraded. (HDD is still the same)

PC Specs -
I3 8100
GTX 1060
750W Coolermaster PSU
2600MHZ Aegis single-channel stick
H310 GAMING Arctic
some gigabyte chassis lol.

give the drive a CHKDSK and see what it says, if you have to reboot do it then make it so - then view your CHKDSK results. While you are in the log viewer, search the system logs for "DISK" errors and see if any come up over the time you have been having problems.

Other tools like CrystalDiskInfo as mentioned here make it a bit easier to check the SMART stats, worth checking out as well.

a single stick of RAM...

your RAM bandwidth with a single stick of RAM is half of normal, and, only 8 GB is already minimal these days for many games, and, also inadequate for several...(assuming you have an 8 GB stick; add another like stick!)

positive about the stick? is was not as bad when I got it.
