hi there,first of all not a computer savvy guy, so pls bear with me.
of late the movies played in my media plyer (kmp ,vlc,smplayer )plays movies with stuttering and loss of quality in full screen.uninstalled and again installed these plyrs a lot of time but no use.no idea where the problem lies.
using windows 7
1 gb ram
drivers are up to date .pls help

what type of movies? also, have you had the exact same problem before or was everything fine until just recently? if problems just started appearing, what changed? do you remember installing anything new? cleaning up your PC (or dumping a lot of stuff into it?)

in addition, are we talking about HD movies? to be honest your machine's a bit limited by 1GB of ram on windows 7

first of all this was my first question ever on net.surprised to get a reply so quickly.thnx for ur time .
yup u r rite.had windows xp.called a computer guy to install kaspersky .he left saying that ur comp xp doesnot support kaspersky.for about 2 wks he didnt turn up.and i had used net for all those days without antivirus.problem appeared during that period.he returned and installed win 7.i thought things will be all rite since things are new now.but nothing changed .i live in a small town .most ppl including comp service stores have no clue to that.

all types of movies.whether hd or normal 700mb movies .stuttering not that graet but still very irritating and definite loss of clarity .u can actually see pixels in full screen..
does graphic video RAM should have some free memory to run videos properly.just a dobt coz running thru lot of site, picked up this one.
once again thnx for reply.

You're very welcome, and here's a warm welcome to the online world and specifically to Toms :bounce:

That aside, it sounds like your computer was running just fine until somewhat recently. to be honest the windows 7 upgrade could be the culprit (your limited computing resources are being taken up by the OS and what not). HOWEVER, I did manage to get win7 running without issues on my parents' old Pentium 4, which also only have 1GB of memory and they refused to throw it out because it's still going strong :lol:

The problem could very well just be a failing graphics card over the years of use, which is fairly cheap to replace (around $40-50). Is there any chance you can borrow a video card from a friend or a shop to test things out for a day or something? would be a good test before you go ahead and have something shipped to you from Amazon or newegg
