Hello everyone,

I have a problem causing me to not enjoy gaming anymore;
Whenever I go below my refreshrate by a tiny bit my game starts feeling super choppy and slow responding, I've tried multiple things such as;
New PC, new monitor, new kb + mouse, new Internet, basically everything.

I have no clue what it could be since Ive replaced like all my gear, could this has to do with my power or something?
Also I've tried 144hz and 180hz and as soon as I go below (like 10 fps so; 130 or 170hz) my game starts feeling terrible.

Im literally helpless at this point as I cant find the problem, and I really want to get this fixed.

Setup: 1080 ti, i7 7700k 4.5, 16gb ram, 550w psu, Z270F Strix mobo, 240gb ssd, 480gb hdd
Monitors: Acer XB241H (Gsync, main monitor), 2nd; optix mag241c

Does anyone have any info / experience around this subject?

Kind regards,
JF

unplug the 2nd monitor?
make and model of this 550w psu?
cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?

Already did the 2nd monitor thing - no success.
Coolermaster 550w something, no exact model - I had this problem with my other PC aswell(650w, 1060, i7)
CPU & GPU stay between 70 and 80c which should be fine. (1080 ti 11gb inno3d , i7 7700k 4.2ghz)

Any other things I can do?

Hello,

Whenever I play my game for a bit and alt tab or go to my second monitor my game starts feeling unsmooth and its very annoying, also I have stutters making my FPS drop from time to time.

What could this be?

Kind regards,
JF

Its normal if its short in time as the GPU clocks itself down when minimizing games.

What are your CPU and GPU temps during the issue?

Did you enable Gsync or FreeSync? Each monitor has a specific Hz range and if you are out of that range, games will have tearing and be choppy.
