Hi Radeon, it is a build for a office computer. You think that there would be significant advantage to going the haswell route? Any reason in particular?

Okay, I've incorporated the changes that you have suggested. It brings the build a bit over $500 bucks, but I like the idea of 3.0 ghz, dual core, with a modern cpu design. I've also switched out the memory, I had server memory in for some reason.

Hi Akhil, it looks like a really great build and, if I am looking for something geared a little more towards gaming, I will definitely be taking another look at it. At this time though, I am pretty sure I'm going to be sticking around the mini-itx design and the small form factor case. Thanks for your time though.

Damn, at that price point, I would definitely be defaulting back to the previous build. Unfortunately, newegg Canada doesn't offer deals of that quality, so the prices on the builds start to converge a fair amount. Once we get in and around that $500 mark, I would tend to think the updated build will serve better.

For those of you who have helped me with this build, I figured I'd post what I finally went with:

- Intel Pentium G3220 Haswell Dual-Core 3.0GHz LGA 1150 54W Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646G3220
- Rosewill RS-MI-01 BK Mini ITX Tower/ Desktop Computer Case with 250W 20+4Pin & 2SATA Connectors Power Supply
- ASUS H97I-PLUS LGA 1150 Intel H97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
- Crucial MX100 CT256MX100SSD1 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
- Team Dark 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model TXD38192M1600HC9DC-D

You guys are awesome, when I first started the build, the final price was coming out to $600 or so and, with your help, we managed to get it below $500; the exact number was $485.00 and I think that's pretty competitive, especially when you factor in the exchange rate. I think it's going to be a sweet little office build and I know people are going to be blown away by the SSD speed; most computers in the building are plain Jane HDD's.
