Hello, i can't get more stress enough to find the right psu for my system so i registered here to find out about your recommendation.
Here are the specs for my current and future build which i plan to do within couple months or if the pandemic situation gets better.

Current system :
  • CPU : AMD FX-6300
  • GPU : RX 570 4gddr5 (on delivery) ,should be delivered today or tomorrow at max.
  • 4x 2gb patriot ram 1600 MHz
  • Mobo : Asrock 970 extreme 4 AM3+
  • SSD : 480gb
  • HDD : 2TB
  • HDD 2 : 160GB
  • 5 rgb fan
  • PSU : FSP hexa plus ii 500w

Future build :
  • CPU : Ryzen 3 3300x
  • GPU : RX 570 4gddr5 (just bought it on sale so i'm not going to upgrade this anytime soon)
  • 2x 8gb Team T-Create Classic 3200MHz
  • Mobo : ASRock B550M-HDV / B450 steel legend
  • Storage : using the same from previous setup

I'm on tight budget (ranged IDR 500.000-900.000) to spend for a new PSU and i live in indonesia , currently CX550 grey model are out of stock , so here are few of the platforms that currently available within my budget :
  1. CM MWE v2 bronze 550w (IDR 800.000)
  2. Cougar VTE 500/600w bronze (IDR 640.000/870.000)
  3. Thermaltake SMART BX1 550 bronze (728.000)
  4. Silverstone ST50F-ES230 (IDR 590.000)
  5. Enermax NAXN 500 bronze (IDR 680.000)
  6. Be Quiet system power u9 500 (IDR 800.000)
  7. Cougar CMD500 semi modular+digital (IDR 699.000)
  8. Super Flower Bronze King 550w (IDR 770.000)
  9. Gigabyte P550B 550w bronze (IDR 706.000)
  10. FSV HV PRO 550 (IDR 550.000)
  11. Enermax revolution duo 500 gold (IDR 850.000)

If cx550 was on the market, it would be slightly over my budget not by much tho (IDR 920.000)

So should i get new PSU A.S.A.P or wait until cx550 becomes available? Is hexa plus ii 500w still reliable for my current/future build? I have read somewhere that it is trash and should be avoided at all cost, which is why i posted this.
Just FYI (my previous GPU was : used RX560 sapphire 2gb which i bought 2 years ago and it just died couple days ago.)

I'm playing games mostly GTA V, TW 3Kingdoms averagely 12hrs a day so quite hardcore gamer i am , i'd prefer a solid durable psu with a Dc-dc topology within my budget if possible.

Here are couple sites i'm using to shop online : tokopedia, shopee, lazada

Any thoughts or ideas are welcomed. This is my first system i ever built so yeah i'm urgently need advice thanks to anyone who read this and hopefully care to give their 2cents.

P.s : i posted this exact same question in the psu subforum discussion so if it's against the rules please kindly pm me so i can delete this thread.

The Cooler Master NWE v2, for the price difference, is good to get, and better than yours by a decent amount. I don't think it's that far under the CX that the cost difference is worth it unless you are going for higher end components with a lot of power draw.

Covid globally has had a huge price increase for power supplies, more than other components for some reason. They are hard to find and prices are 25% or more higher than they were at the start of the year.
Many of those PSUs are a bit iffy, the higher wattage CX models should not be much more than the 550, if those are around.

The one from the list I would probably pick is the fist one, CM MWE v2 bronze. Others are OK but don't think as good. Should be close to the Corsair CX PSU for quality if you really can't wait. You can also get a CX in a greater wattage rating, should not be too much over the 550.

Found these on the market:

  1. Cx 650m - idr 1.300.000
  2. Cx 550m - idr 1.159.000
  3. MWE v2 bronze is starting to dissappear and its price increased to idr 835.000
What in the world is happening 😑
So if there's no better option i should get mwe v2 rather than wait right? Is it far better option than my old fsp hexa plus ii?

Thanks m8.
