I have my subwoofer and speakers all set up very close to my pc is this bad. I recently found out there is magnets inside the speakers and they can damage my pc. I am also wondering if damages have occurred how can I tell will they be very easy to notice or could it be hard to tell. My last question is about the fact that my subwoofer hums when powered off but is still plugged in could leaving it plugged into my pc with the audio jack be harmful to my components. Please help me I am losing my mind and worrying so much I had no idea I was putting my pc at risk. Would I be able to tell if magnetic or electrical damages have occurred or could it me less noticeable.
Thank you in advanced
Ps sorry for bad english.

Edit these speakers and subwoofer are fairly old my next door friend gifted them to me. I have been using them for about a month.

Solution
That would be mains frequency hum and is not a problem though may be slightly annoying.
It can be caused by a ground loop or a poorly regulated power supply and poses no risk to any components.
Hi
Don't worry they will have no affect on the PC,this is a hangover from the days of CRT monitors which could be affected by magnetic fields.
The only thing in your PC that could be affected would be the HDD but it would need a much stronger magnetic field than that generated by your speakers.

Thank you. What about the humm that my subwoofer makes when it is off but plugged in?
