[SOLVED] Subwoofer not outputting to speakers

I have the GoGroove Basepulse speakers, they are a set of 2 speakers and a subwoofer with volume and bass dials. I mainly use my headset but every once in a while I use my speakers. Recently I tried to use the speakers and sound was only playing from the subwoofer. I know the speakers are not broken because I directly tested them with my phone. Why is my subwoofer not outputting sound to the connected speakers? Could the output jack be broken?

Does the following link show your speakers?

It could be the output port from the subwoofer but there are some other things to try:

First what is the audio source when you are not using headphones - is the source the same source used for the headphones or another source?

If a different source verify that that source is sending out an audio signal. Look for any volume controls (hardware or software) on that source device. Windows 10, for example, has quite a number of audio related windows, tabs, and properties settings.

Second, try another known working audio cable between the audio source and GoGroove. Be sure that the plug(s) is/are being fully and firmly inserted...

Third, inspect the cables. Ensure that the cables are correctly pinned and undamaged. Especially around the plugs.

There are different audio plugs and you also need to ensure that the correct connection cable is being used.

Yes the link does show my speakers, except I have the red version.

I have tested the speakers alone without the subwoofer and they work fine, I have also tested the connection with a different cable and I have tested the input from my pc ( front and rear connection), my nintendo switch, and my Iphone 8.

It seems the subwoofer is just not outputting sound to the speakers anymore, because I have had them for a little over a year now and they used to work fine, suddenly they just stopped.

EDIT:

After sending this reply I swapped out the subwoofer with my dads logitech one that is known to work and the speakers output sound fine with this subwoofer.

Not much else left to do.

While looking for some form of a maintenance or repair guide all I found was the following troubleshooting link:

https://www.accessorypower.com/index.php?route=account/product_warranties/support&product_id=10878

Inspect inside the subwoofer's connection ports first, just to ensure that there is no debris/dead bug, etc. interfering with connectivity. Use a bright flashlight.

Any warranty left?

If not then you probably have nothing to lose by opening up the subwoofer and look for some obvious problem such as a broken/disconnected wire.

Likely the subwoofer is not designed to be taken apart and/or repaired but I have no immediate way to determine if that true either way.

Are you comfortable doing such things? Worth a try in any case - just get a knowledgeable/handy family member or friend to help. Use proper tools; screwdrivers that truly fit the screws, and non-metal wedges to push/pop plastic snaps.

Work with the idea to cause no more damage and if a fixable repair is found ensure that you will be able to reassemble.

Watch out for hard to find screws under labels.....

With any luck all could turn out well.

Overall risk being that the subwoofer may end up permanently damaged.
