Hi all.

Just bought a Sound Blaster Audigy SE because my onboard audio was crap.
I have a 5.1 speaker setup but I don't use the rear speakers.
Problem: When I attempt to disable the rear speakers in the configuation button of Windows 7 Sound panel, my subwoofer suddenly goes silent as well, and even WEIRDER... clicking on the rear speakers in the config window still produce a sound!! (played out the front speakers.)

I have the general feeling that Windows 7's speaker configuation panel is kind of fubar, but I hope not. I bought a whole new sound card to make things EASIER, not harder.

If anyone's heard of this problem or has any ideas, please let me know.

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Motherboard: Asus M4A87TD/USB3
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
Sound card: Sound Blaster Audigy SE
