Question Such thing as too much cooling?

Is there such thing as too much air cooling? I was just wondering if you could “freeze” a CPU because of it being cold. Thanks!

No, seeing as some people play with liquid nitrogen cooling.

Air and liquid cooling are only ever capable of every cooling a CPU close to the temperature of the air around it under perfect conditions.
So If your house is 70 degrees farenheit, your CPU will always be well above 70f with standard cooling.

Unless you are using a chiller unit or liquid nitrogen and trying to get the CPU to run sub zero, your CPU will never be very cold.

No you can't cool it to much. Electronics love to be cold and just work better the colder they get.

Yes but since the question is about PC cooling, batteries aren't really an issue, especially at the relatively warm temperatures possible with air and water cooling systems. But yes batteries are the opposite, they work better the warmer they get within their specified operating temperature range.

The cooler the better....though so long as you are within a decent temp spread and below the thermal limit at loads you should be fine.
