Question Such thing as "wrong" DRAM for my setup?

Hey everyone (first time posting)

First time PC Builder and tried to do my research prior to building but seem to have come across a snag in my build.

ASRock X570 Phantom Gaming 4 Wifi AX Board
AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
G.SKILL Sniper X Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C19D-32GSXKB
EVGA Geforce RTX 2070 Ultra
Corsair 750 W 80+ Bronze

I did a benchmark test and the response was that my memory is operating in the 11% percentile. I went into my BIOS and saw that the memory frequency is showing up at 2133. When I tried to change it to 3600, I encountered hard resets and the inability to boot past the ASROCK post screen.

Any suggestions or recommendations in the BIOS? Currently running stock BIOS. I also have enabled the XMP but it does not seem to be able to run at 3600.

That kit is meant for intel platforms: http://www.gskill.com/qvl/165/169/1536043466/F4-3600C19D-32GSXKB-Qvl

I would turn on XMP and try say 3400mhz or something lower than 3600 and see if you can get it to post. That kit will work with your system however you likely wont be able to get it's advertised speeds on the X570 platform.

Under the QVL tab, and under AsRock -> it does list the x570.

Should I consider returning these sticks and getting another pair?

Do you have the latest BIOS version?

It lists an X570 board but not your X570 board.

G.Skill doesn't list ANY 3600 MHz RAM kits as compatible with YOUR exact motherboard:

I would return it and get a 3600 Mhz kit that is listed as compatible with your exact motherboard by Corsair or Kingston or whoever.
