Question Sudden 100% usage on my Intel i3 while playing certain games.

Just a week ago I had no problem with playing some games like Sekiro Shadows Die Twice or Assassins Creed Origins... But now suddenly I get HUGE lags that can last up to 6 or more seconds and the game goes on. As I played Sekiro with task manager I encountered huge CPU usage, 100% was when the big lag hit. Same probably happens during Origins. (also found out that it uses 80% of ram and when I counted all of the processes up it was around 3.8gb and I have 8gb RAM.. why is it 80%?) I have a suspicion that it might be from a windows update. This cant just go sour suddenly in a week when I have been playing those games for months.

I will look into the malware issue. Resource monitor shows that the game uses most of the RAM memory but when I dont play and now use my browser it uses 50% which is around 400mb so I can assume my system bogs down a huge amount of usable RAM

Antivirus reported no malware.

if it ran out of ram, it will use the hdd/sdd for virtual memory. check the disk usage/health?

Disks have no issues. up to 1% usage with several programs and browser. During games its usually below 40 to 20%

Just looked at performance graphs in task manager... RAM 4.1 out of 8gb used for some reason
