My PC has suddenly had a black screen when booting (LED's and fans turn on). I believe I have narrowed this down to a RAM related issue, as the screen comes on (most of the time) only when I boot with 1 out of the 4 RAM cards installed to a particular slot (not all slots).

This is not new RAM, I have been using the system fine for as long as I can remember. I have tried all RAM configurations, reset the BIOS, upgraded GPU Driver and updated all Windows 10 updates.

System Details
Ryzen 9 3900X 12 Core 3.8GHz
64GB RAM [ (2x16GB) CMU32GX4M2C3200C16 & (2x16GB) CMW32GX4M2C3000C15 ]
MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS AM4 ATX MOTHERBOARD
NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 TI 11GB
EVGA 850 W G2 GOLD POWER SUPPLY

Cheers,
Sam

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

What BIOS version are you currently on? Just for the sake of relevance, please state the version for Windows 10 as well. As for your rams, they are two different kits. You're advised to work with a matched set. In your instance I'd suggest that you ditch the CMW32GX4M2C3000C15 and stick to the CMU32GX4M2C3200C16 kit.

Hello,

Thanks for the info.

The BIOS version is A.E0
Windows Version is 21H1

I've tried it with just the CMU32GX4M2C3200C16 kit, and it only works with 1 of the 2 sticks, and in the 4th RAM slot only.

Cheers,
Sam
