Essentially my system has been experiencing some sudden, and severe, CPU usage spikes (90-100%) for between 1-10 seconds at a time and at a regular interval. Makes it near-unusable. I've done a full scan using MalwareBytes, SpyBot Search & Destroy and Windows Defender to no avail. The spikes only began about 2 days ago, I haven't downloaded anything out of the ordinary when it started or gone on any dodgy sites. Quick system rundown;
Windows 7, i7-4790, 16GB DDR3, GTX1060 6GB, OS is running off an SSD and the bulk of my other programs off an SSHD while I use a HDD for regular storage.
Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I immediately thought malware but I can't seem to pick up anything...
