Question Sudden drop in FPS on all games

Hello,

I've tried to play some games this afternoon and my games are stuttering and also the FPS is about 10-20 when it used to run at 50-60 no issues and no stuttering.

I installed a the new Nvidia driver and thought that might be the issue so reverted back to the old driver and i am still getting these issues.

last time I tried to play was about a week ago and i had no issues however now the games i'm trying are barely playable. the games I am trying to play are Withcer 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2 both worked no issues a week ago.

Please could someone give me an idea of how I could fix this? I have tried everything that I can think of to try and help.

cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
make and model of the psu?
malware scan the system?

I have been having the same problems of late. I noticed it after a W10 update
2020-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB4580364)
I don't know if that's what caused it but I definitely have the same problems. I even updated my video card drivers, reverted etc to no avail. Driving me crazy!
