Hello. I come with a question on how to fix my computer's sudden loss of performance. About two hours ago I was running games like CSGO perfectly fine (250-350FPS). But randomly after closing the game for 10 minutes to go do something else, my PC is running a low slower and in CS:GO (i tested other games and had much lower FPS too, ready or not usually runs between 90-120fps on medium settings but now runs at 20-30fps) i only get 30-70FPS. I noticed that my RAM at idle was sitting at 41% but couldnt find what was causing it to be so high. There were no processes that were putting it up that high, everything was just as normal. I restarted my pc, didnt help, i reseated my ram, nothing, my cpu on idle sits at 1-3% like usual, my gpu sits idle at 1%. My gpu and cpu are not thermal throttleing. This all happened so sudenly and I cant find any reason why it's doing this. does anyone have any solutions?

i7 3770k
8GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 1660
MSI Z77A-G41 Mobo
Thermaltake 600W PSU

You make no mention of your hard disk or SSD. What drives are you using (size and model number) and what version of Windows are you running? If it's Windows 10 or 11, 41% RAM usage in 8GB is normal.

There's a possibility your disk drive may be on its way out, or in need of a fresh install of Windows. Disk drives don't last forever.

After a prolonged period of operation, the Windows Registry and operating system files can become damaged. You can attempt repairs with SFC and DISM.

Open a Command Prompt with Administrator's privileges, then type in SFC /SCANNOW
https://www.howtogeek.com/222532/ho...-system-files-with-the-sfc-and-dism-commands/

You could also run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Are you running two 4GB DIMMs or one 8GB DIMM? In either case, it might be worth downloading MemTest86+ and creating a bootable USB memory stick, to test your RAM.

Hey, I'm running 16GB (2 sticks of 8GB DDR3, dual channel mode) of DDR3, my mistake, and I have an SSD. I run Tiny11, a modded version of Windows 11 that gets rid of a lot of the unnecessary things Windows 11 comes with that would end up slowing down your PC. What is Tiny11? But my SSD is a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB.

Also I did both DISM and CMD fix and neither worked. I've had Tiny 11 for a couple months and its just all so sudden.

Don't expect people to know how to help you when you are running an OS that less than 0.1% of the world population is running. Even if we wanted to help, we can't possibly know if the problem is with Tiny11 or with something else. But as you probably guessed it, it probably has to do with Tiny11.
