I had a question about new video cards. Do they start running slower in a short amount of time? I installed a new Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb 2 months ago and was getting 120-240 fps in Fortnite. Recently I've noticed a lot more FPS lag. Just recently my fps has been at 80-180 now. I'm pretty upset because I bought the video card to be able to run Fortnite smoothly but i'm getting bad lag during battles now, even though 80 fps doesn't seem bad.
Specs:
gpu - Gigabyte gtx 1060 6gb
ram - 6GB DDR3 Ram
cpu - i5-3570k 3.4 ghz
mobo - asus p8z77-v lk
What could be the cause of this? Could it be from fortnite's side?
Side note: I'm about to upgrade to 16gb of good ram to replace my crappy 6gb no name brand. I feel like my ram is bottlenecking hard, so will upgrading it help with fps?
